“The most affectionate creature in the world is a wet dog.” - Ambrose Bierce
Happy Monday! Here's the scoop:
The service pup with two very important jobs
Meet today’s yogi DOTD!
Have you encountered any of these cool and unusual breeds?
Did you know?
With the exception of hairless breeds, all puppies are born with a single layer of softer fur, which they will shed around 4-6 months of age as their adult coat comes in. Their adult coat will be thicker and coarser than their puppy coat.
Sweet service dog helps her deaf dog sister
Is there anything more heartwarming than a service dog? Meet Lily, a black lab who not only helps out her owner, but who leads the way for her dog sister as well.
Lily belongs to Bridget, her loving owner who uses a wheelchair. When Bridget adopted Lily as a puppy, she trained her new companion to help out with daily tasks. Bridget recently said on TikTok that Lily “helps me by turning on/off lights, opening doors, retrieving objects, pulling my wheelchair and much more.” She added, “I am so grateful to have her by my side.”
Lily is also a helpful big sister to Kinley – a yellow lab who lost her hearing when she was 6 months old. Lily will give Kinley a gentle nudge to let her know when it’s time to go for a walk, and will alert her when it's time to go back inside. If that sounds too sweet to believe, don’t worry. You know we wouldn’t leave you hanging without a video. You can see the adorable pup’s daily interactions on Bridget’s TikTok here.
