Weird Dog Laws: Day 2
In Sweden, dogs who attend a daycare center must have a window to look out of. (Ok, you have to admit that this one’s pretty cute.)

Chowder the skateboarding bulldog
Chowder, an energetic English bulldog, has a special talent. This rad and athletic pup can skateboard.

Chowder’s owner, Jani Delperdang, first noticed his natural boarding abilities when they were at the beach. A young boy threw his skimboard into the water, but before he could use it, Chowder jumped on. Pretty soon, beachgoers crowded around to watch this unbelievable sight.

When they got home, Jani got a skateboard for Chowder and – once again – he proved to be a natural. Not only can Chowder ride, but he knows how to speed up and stop. Watch the incredible TikTok video of this amazing skateboarding dog!

What we're digging
It's no secret that we're chasers of the latest news and trends. Sure, a lot of ours may be dog-related, but we're not afraid to dabble with other current event topics and other headlines from time to time...

Fortunately, other newsletters - that specifically cover things like business news, marketing, the future of work, climate, culture, etc. - exist so we can mostly stick to what we know best.

Meet: Refind. The daily newsletter that dubs itself "the essence of the web," covering all of the week's hottest topics in one succint daily digest. The best part? Just like Daily Dig, their newsletter is completely free.

If you're interested in receiving the latest news at your fingertips each day, check out and support our friends at Refind here!

Giant dog breeds: what you need to know
When it comes to dogs, sometimes more is more. We love large dogs for their energy and companionship. Giant dogs are the biggest of the “big dogs,” weighing in at least 90-100 pounds.

Thinking about adding a giant companion to your household? Here are some of the most common giant dog breeds:

  • Great Dane – Tall and regal, Great Danes descend from hunting dogs. Today, these pups are gentle giants who are highly affectionate and want to please their owners.

  • Bernese Mountain Dog – Intelligent and good natured, Bernese Mountain Dogs have a distinct look. They’re great with kids and tend to become attached to one lucky human.

  • Mastiff – There are different varieties of Mastiffs, and English Mastiffs can weigh up to 230 lbs. Known for being one of the most gentle breeds, Mastiffs will gladly chill out on the couch with you for hours while you read a book.

  • Saint Bernard – Sturdy, energetic, and loyal, Saint Bernards love to play and want to protect their owners. These lovable dogs are great with families and tend to get along with other dogs.

  • Irish Wolfhound – Muscular and slightly shaggy looking, Irish Wolfhounds descend from hunting dogs, but are known for being serene and agreeable. Be prepared – Irish Wolfhounds can be up to 7 ft tall when they stand on their hind legs!
