A flightless pigeon & special needs Chihuahua become bffs
Meet the unlikely duo that became fast friends: Lundy the Chihuahua and Herman the pigeon. While one is a dog and the other is a bird, they share a strong bond and absolutely adore spending time together.
Lundy is unable to walk and Herman can’t fly. These two sweethearts met at The Mia Foundation, a non-profit organization in Hilton, New York, dedicated to nurturing animals born with congenital disabilities.
Lundy and Herman’s unique friendship started when they were placed on the same dog bed. Foundation workers noticed that these two liked to snuggle and cuddle. Not long after, the pair became inseparable.
Check out the heartwarming video of these two best friends!

Do(g)-It-Yourself
It’s not always easy to find all-natural dog chews. Thankfully, it’s super easy to make your own with wholesome and healthy ingredients.
Extra chewing helps keep your dog’s teeth clean. Plus, apples are great for your dog’s digestive system. Your dog will love these nutrient-packed chews!
Make your own easy apple chews:
What you’ll need: Apples. Yes, that’s seriously it.
Preheat the oven to 210º F.
Wash the apples.
Remove the core and seeds, then cut into thin slices.
Place the apple slices onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
Bake for an hour, flip, then bake for another hour.
Allow the slices to cool.
Once they’re reached room temperature, give your dog a sweet chew!
Apples chews should be stored in an airtight container until eaten.
Can I buy a seat for my dog on a plane?
Bringing your dog on vacation can make any trip feel extra special. So, how can you bring your pup along without taking a long road trip?
Here’s what you need to know about bringing your dog on a plane.
While many airlines – including JetBlue and Delta – will allow your dog to travel in the cabin, only JetBlue and United will allow you to buy a seat for your furry friend.
Once you’re on the plane, your dog will likely have to stay in a carrier (unless you have an emotional support dog).
Before you book a flight, do your research. Some airlines will have an additional fee to bring pups onboard, and the rules may be different for domestic and international flights.
Some airlines place restrictions on particular dog breeds, but the rules vary for service dogs and emotional support animals. So, make sure to read all the pet policies before your book!
