How to trick your pup into eating their veggies
Is “scent work” right for your dog?
Did you know?
In addition to the famous Saint Bernard - Chris - who played the role of Beethoven in the 1992 film, filmmakers used a full-sized mechanical dog for certain scenes. They even occasionally used a mechanical head for shooting specific facial expressions!
Dog who can't sleep without being tucked up like a human goes viral
We all have sleep routines, and this dachshund is no different. Penny just wants to be tucked in. In fact, she won’t go to sleep until she is.
Recently, this adorably sleepy pup went viral for her hilarious bedtime routine. In the video, her owner asked, “What is something your dog does that you don't even think twice about but any time anyone else sees it, it is either shocking or weird? I'll go first.”
This sweet TikTok video shows Penny in her little dog bed. Her owner places a dog blanket over her and tucks her in, just like she likes it.
Join the millions of viewers who have watched Penny get ready for bed and see the clip here. Sweet dreams, Penny!
Do(g)-It-Yourself
Mental stimulation is just as important as physical activity for a dog. Enrichment activities help increase your dog’s brain capacity and help lower their anxiety. Looking for a new enrichment activity to try with your pup?
The Vegetable + String game is easy to make and rewarding for your dog!
Make your own Vegetable + String enrichment game:

What we're digging
You know that we love any opportunity to spend more time with our dogs. And that includes streamlining even the most basic everyday activities like…cooking and doing the dishes afterwards.
So, when we learned about Immi, you know we had to give it a shot. (A healthy dinner in under 7 minutes, are you kidding??)
Immi reinvents the tasty Asian-American foods we love using only high-quality ingredients. They’ve somehow captured the comfort and convenience of instant ramen in a more nutritious - think: keto-friendly, lower sodium, high-protein, plant-based - yet equally delicious bowl.
Their new variety pack lets you try all of their unique flavors in one shipment. Trust us, even your dog will drool over these (but there’s no way you’re going to want to share). Try this new take on noodles and get Immi’s deliciously healthy variety pack here!
What is "scent work?" And is it right for your dog?
As you probably know, dogs have an exceptional sense of smell. Scent work (or nose work) is a competitive sport where dogs sniff out the presence of certain odors.
It turns out, this activity comes naturally to most dogs, including puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with disabilities. To train your dog in scent work, start by introducing search games to your dog. You can hide treats – particularly those with a strong odor – and encourage your dog to sniff them out.
When you’re ready to move up to the competition level, the American Kennel Club has virtual scent work tests in beginner, intermediate, and experienced categories. AKC also teaches classes to help dogs sniff out scents like birch, cypress, anise, and clove on a cotton swab.
The important thing to remember is that some scents are bothersome to dogs. Just make sure you’re using dog-friendly scents when teaching your pup scent work!
