Meet the Mayor of Georgetown
Parker the Snow Dog is an exemplary resident of Georgetown, Colorado. This four-year-old Bernese Mountain dog gives back to his community by working as a therapy dog.

In the summertime, Parker welcomes disabled campers to the Rocky Mountain Village Easterseals Camp. In his free time, Parker enjoys sniffing around the snowy trails of Guanella Pass Scenic Byway with his dad.

To show their gratitude, the citizens of Georgetown named Parker the honorary mayor of Georgetown.

Parker was sworn in in front of townspeople, local law enforcement, and fellow pups. Parker gladly accepted the honor by sticking out his floppy tongue and wagging his tail. Parker gets our vote for cutest snow dog! Check Parker out here.

Dog of the Day
Meet today’s adorable Dog of the Day: Salty!

Salty is Daily Dig reader Debbie E.’s 16-week-old pup. He enjoys walks at the marina, cuddles with mom and dad, his family’s grandchildren, and meeting new dog friends and their humans. In fact, if a person walks by him and doesn’t pet him, he gets his feelings hurt. (Can you imagine passing up that cute face and not giving him a little head scratch?!)

P.S. Want your pup to be featured in a future Daily Dig? Submit their pic to woof@dailydigdogs.com or DM us on Instagram! Include their name and anything that makes them special (we know, we know, everything about them is special).

Unusual breed: Glen of Imaal Terrier
Unless you’ve been to Ireland, it’s unlikely that you’ve come across this fairly rare breed. But once you get to know the Glen of Imaal Terrier, you’re sure to fall in love with these adorable teddy bear-like pups.

Glen of Imaal Terriers make great family pets because they’re intelligent, affectionate, and easy to train. These medium-sized dogs are full of energy and need moderate exercise.

The thing that really sets Glen of Imaal Terriers apart from the pack is their fun-loving personality. Sweet and spunky, these terriers are always smiling and they know how to light up a room with their playful demeanor.

Glen of Imaal Terriers can thrive in any kind of environment. These curious cuties sometimes get carried away and will run after a particularly interesting scent, so make sure they’re fenced in!
