Did you know?
The unique, Italian dog breed known as the Lagatto Romagnolo was originally bred as a water dog that would retrieve game from the marshes.
When the marshes of Italy began to dry up, hunters changed the dogs' career to seek out this delicacy. Any guesses as to what it is?

Handy & Adorable IKEA Hacks for Pets
We all know that IKEA is the mecca of household essentials and storage solutions. But did you know that many of IKEA’s designs can be easily tweaked to accommodate your pet?
If you’re looking to redecorate your space on a budget, check out these handy pet hacks from our favorite European furniture company:
Steps to the couch. Does your dog have trouble jumping up to the couch? Make some steps for your pup out of Knagglig boxes.
A tiny bed. Want to give your dog the opportunity of sleeping on a “real” bed? Turn the Duktig doll bed into a bed for a small dog. Little dogs love it, plus it makes for a great Instagram post.
A safe space. Create a cozy snuggle spot for your pup inside the Kallax shelving unit. Simply remove one of the doors, and add a soft blanket for your dog.

Do(g)-It-Yourself
Looking for a healthy homemade treat that will help freshen your dog’s breath? These simple three-ingredient treats are high in fiber and potassium. Plus they’re a great source of vitamin B6 and vitamin C.
How to make your own puppermint treats:
What you’ll need: bananas, chopped fresh mint leaves, and oat flour.
Preheat the oven to 350º F.
Mash up the banana in a bowl.
Mix in the mint leaves and flour.
Let the dough sit for 5-10 minutes.
Roll the dough out to ¼’’ thickness, then use a cookie cutter to cut out hearts and bones.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Allow the treats to cool completely, then give your dog a tasty bite!

The Pros & Cons of “Apartment Dogs”
If you live in a city and you’re thinking about adopting a dog, you’ve probably heard that certain breeds – known as “apartment dogs” – are better than others for high rise living. So, how do you know which breed is right for you and your living situation?
Check out the pros and cons of each of these popular breeds.
Dachshunds. These little couch potatoes are excellent rodent hunters. However, they also tend to have a loud bark.
Yorkshire Terriers. These little cuties are small and light, but they often bark at strange noises and are prone to separation anxiety.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. These little sweeties are quiet, but they require more exercise.
Pugs. These little guys are also fairly quiet. Plus, they’re major couch potatoes. However, pugs snore and tend to shed.
Bichons. While these furballs don’t shed as much, they are pretty high maintenance when it comes to grooming. They can also be slightly difficult to potty train.
Mini-doodles, which include Goldendoodles, Labradoodle, Bernedoodles, are easy to train and they’re hypoallergenic. However, they have higher energy and require more exercise.
