Does Your Pet Have What it Takes to Be an Influencer?
Being the parent of a dog influencer seems like a dream – post a few pictures, get sponsors, make bank. It’s that easy, right? Well, not exactly.

According to experts, it’s actually a lot of work. That said, if you’re looking for a new fulltime job, it could be worth it! So, what does it take to be a pet influencer?

Here are some tips and tricks from Colleen Wilson, CEO of an animal talent company:
  • Stick to your brand. Once you find your “thing,” stick to it. Consistency is key when it comes to attracting sponsors.
  • Stay on schedule. It’s important to post quality pictures regularly.
  • Dogs and cats book 90% of the jobs. Good news for dog parents!
  • It’s a numbers game. You might love every picture that you take of your dog – and we understand why. But when it comes to getting sponsors, it’s all about your analytics, or how people respond to your posts.
  • Be friendly and easy to work with. Brands want to work with pet parents who are consistent, kind, and serious about the work.
  • Have fun! No matter what, make sure you and your pup are having fun. If keeping up your dog’s Instagram account starts to feel like work, maybe it’s time to hit pause and relax on the couch with your furry friend.

Entering the Realm of Pet Psychics
Pet psychics? Yes, it’s natural to be skeptical. However, Keao, a Los Angeles-based animal communicator told The Wildest, “People often come to me distressed or frustrated and leave feeling enlightened, empowered, and with a deeper understanding of their animal companions than they ever realized was possible...even after they’ve passed.”

Wondering if a pet psychic might be right for you? Dogs can’t communicate verbally, and animal psychics use visuals to understand what pets are thinking and feeling. Keao says that her job is like being “an interpreter for an animal to help their humans better understand the animal’s needs, concerns, and behaviors by projecting images and feelings.”

Many pet psychics work primarily with dogs and cats, addressing health concerns and behavioral problems. Particularly during the pandemic, anxiety among pets and humans was at an all-time high. However, pet psychics can also help pet parents process grief.

If you think that a pet psychic might be able to help your pup (or you), do some research and keep an open mind!
True or False...
Answer: False! Some claim that Yellow Labs are the laziest of the breed, while Black Labs are the best hunters. None of these claims are actually supported by science, however. Just like people, each dog is different. Some Lab breeders prioritize skills in the field, while others are concerned more with conformation to the breed standard. When it comes down to it, none of these differences directly depend on the dog’s color.
